Since 1938 the quality and fragrance of Galbusera products have been accompanying the life of Italians. The passion and tenacity of Mario and Enea Galbusera allowed a small craft workshop to turn first into a big industry (between the ’60s and’ 70s the factory of Cosio Valtellino was built), then into one of the most important Italian business activities: a company able to grow and innovate without ever forgetting its roots. The latest food innovation by Galbusera is called “Buonpertutti” (“good for everyone”): an organic line that includes snacks, crackers and shortbreads, all prepared with vegetable flours, to ensure a 100% vegetable protein intake throughout the day.
Carapelli starts the year 2019 with a new range of PGI and PDO extra virgin olive oils. They are called “Le Origini” (“The Origins”), and they are big news when it comes to Made in Italy food products; those oils narrate about the excellence of our local oils through the stories of selected Oil Masters and of the traditions of their territories: stories of quality, lands, oil art and life, which add human value to that of extra virgin Italian olive oil.
The range consists of a PGI Toscano high quality extra virgin olive oil that is obtained mainly from Leccino, Moraiolo and Frantoio olives; a PGI Olio di Calabria, obtained from Carolea olives and, finally, a PDO Terra di Bari Bitonto, made from Coratina and Cima di Bitonto olives.
Rossana, the famous candy dressed in red, as of today is also a milk and hazelnut spread; so, the trend of spreadable creams, after the recent launch of Pan di Stelle spread by Barilla, goes on, with this hot new Made in Italy food product that promises to delight the palates of everybody, Italian and not.
Le Bonelle Gelées has announced the news on its Facebook profile, giving a clue after another in the last days, until they showed the new spread, which has immediately become viral on social networks, also with a bit of healthy Italian pride. Le Bonelle Gelées is the division that takes care of the candies of Fida, the Piedmontese company from Castagnole delle Lanze, in the province of Asti, that in 2016, after 30 years, took over some confectionery-related products from Nestlè-Perugina. Of those, the candy “Rossa”, born in Perugia in 1926, renamed Rossana in homage to Roxanne, the beloved of Cyrano de Bergerac.
The news has been in the air – or perhaps it would be better to say in the refrigerator – for a few months now. But now the official confirmation has arrived: among the made in Italy food related news, after last year’s test on some selected European markets, Kinder ice creams will land in Italy in March. A series of products that, as announced, are the result of the collaboration between Ferrero and the multinational corporation Unilever, which includes among its brands even an ice cream veteran like Algida.
Among the incoming proposals, some will be designed specifically for the little ones and will follow the guidelines of Unilever Responsibly Made for Kids in terms of nutritional values. So, on the shelves, we will find the Kinder Ice Cream Stick, which is a milk ice cream made with whole milk, partially chocolate covered; but also the Kinder Ice Cream Sandwich, milk ice-cream with 40% of whole milk between five-cereal biscuits. Kinder Joy Ice Cream instead is presented as a fresh version of the classic Kinder Egg and Kinder Bueno Ice Cream Cone, a crunchy cone with hazelnut ice cream and a heart of milk chocolate cream, covered with a disc of Ferrero hazelnut cream and small pieces of chocolate.
