The brand was founded in 1948 when Regolo Fossati based a factory in Muggiò, Brianza. The following year his son Danilo took over the company and brought it to the real success.

After the breakthrough of the iconic Dadi, STAR launched the first industrially produced ready-to-eat sauce in Italy - Gran Ragù.

In the 1960s the company introduced its first tea in filters to the Italian market. So, the line of STAR Tea was born.

During the 1970s STAR launched two revolutionary products the first tomato puree - Pummarò STAR and also tomato pulp cut into cubes – Polpabella.

In 2007 STAR became part of a new multinational food group: the Gallina Blanca Star group.

In 2013 the company launched another revolutionary product - Saikebon oriental noodles. Among all STAR prodotti, STAR Saikebon is one of the most popular and beloved products by the customers.
